Mustard Snow

Image
Do you like Snow? I do like snow. But only if I can watch it fall, sitting inside a warm and cozy house seeping hot chocolate. You will never see me ski (although I did enjoy skating three times in my life already), you will never see me have snow fights let along build snowmen. Imagine then my excitement at yesterday's snow. I woke up and it was all white outside. My son said it was Christmas (for him snow equals Christmas). If I could I would not have gone out. But duty called so I bundled up and braced the weather. It was freezing cold outside and heavy snow kept falling on my umbrella. It was so slippery down the hill that I was afraid I would fall and break my neck or worse break my son's neck who was resting on my back. Kids were enjoying the snow, throwing snow balls at each other or gliding. I thought they were just crazy. Today is slightly better. No snow for starters and it is probably going to be warmer. That is why I decided to wear this: Knitted hat - (Y

Three times in a row

What happened to the beautiful weather we had earlier this week? It freezing cold out, about to snow they say. But I have to go out to run some errands. I want to stay warm but I also want to wear my faux fur gilet. I am hooked on this thing so much that it is the third time this week I am wearing it. What I am wearing: Beret - can't remember where I got this one Faux fur coat - thrifted 390 Mart Long Blue knit - so old, Sexy Miser Turtle neck - 390 Mart Jeans - Ross Boots - Shimamura I had this knit for 8 years now. I bought it at this super cheap discount store in Sagamihara (where I used to live in Japan before heading to the States). The place was a cool dump where you could find interesting items for interesting prices. Once I snag some DKNY tops for nothing (and they were real, I checked). When I found this blue knit, I could not resist for I always liked super long cardigans. To top it all, it is very warm. I think I bought the thing for 700Y. And I shall never p

Fur me at Motomachi

Image
Last Tuesday, I had to go to Motomachi to meet some people and take my kids to eat sushi. It was a warm day so I decided to ditch my coat for something lighter. Here is what I wore: Knitted cap - H&M Faux fur vest - thrifted 390 Mart Striped sweater - thrifted Pink top - Nissen Skirt - thrifted 390 Mart Boots - ABC Mart I am happy that I get to wear this vest again. I was getting worried that I would not be able to put it on because it had been so cold. And for some reason, I do not believe in wearing fur in Spring and Summer. It is just so wrong. However, this puppy is so light and keeps me warm that I may reconsider. Besides it is too beautiful to sleep in my closet. I told you that I was looking for another skirt that was as comfy as my H&M one. Well, this one is not as perfect but it is great. It also has lace. I think I am done buying black skirts. Now me want one in tulle like the ballerinas. Upon arrival at Motomachi, I was surprised to see so many people

Bingo

I am not a lucky person. Well strike that! I am a very lucky person and I cannot be grateful enough for my blessings. However when it comes to winning a prize, I am the unluckiest person on earth. I could play lotto everyday for the rest of my life and I will not win a single thing. The only time I won something in my life was because my husband switched tickets with me. And as you would have it the ticket he gave me won. So I was not surprised that I did not win the Ipod touch that was the ultimate prize for the charity bingo of my son's school. My son did win a book of his favorite character so that all that counts. Who needs an I pod touch anyway. For the crazy bingo time I decided to wear this Knitted cap - H&M Infinity scarf - Daiei Black coat - so old I cannot remember where I bought it Flower printed cardigan - Walmart Old navy skirt - thrifted Leggings - Dots Boots - ABC mart Bag - 390 Mart I felt like it was Spring today. At first the weather was
