Hello!  Do you know what is a Canadian tuxedo? It is an outfit made entirely of denim, typically a denim jacket or shirt paired with denim jeans.  Denim set - custom Shoes - Class Bag - Numero Uno  At the end of summer, I found myself completely obsessed with denim. If you've been following my blog for a while, you already know how essential denim is in my life. Honestly, I always thought that by now, I’d have outgrown it, transitioning to more "mature" and ladylike clothing. In Senegal, women my age often lean towards loose, flowing outfits like boubous. At least, that’s what I believed growing up. But here I am, still living in denim. Don’t get me wrong—I do have my share of elegant outfits for work or special occasions. But denim? It’s my go-to. Lately, I’ve had this itch to add a few specific pieces to my wardrobe: a denim maxi dress, a denim shirt, and another pair of perfect denim pants.  Tis’ the season again! And no, I’m not talking about Christmas or its festive cousins. I’m talking about the Dak’Art Biennale . The Dak’Art Biennale is the ultimate rendezvous for art and creativity in Dakar, lasting an entire month. If you’ve been following my blog, you might remember I wrote about it   two years ago here and here . This year, though, the Biennale came with its share of drama. Originally scheduled for May- June 2024, it was postponed by the new government, citing a lack of necessary funds. Naturally, this sparked backlash, especially from international artists who were ready to showcase their work. Some went ahead and participated in smaller OFF events around the city despite the delay. Fast forward to November, and the Biennale finally kicked off on the 7th, with the theme "The Wake." Hello hello! I have a group of 4 friends, all former coworkers. Funnily, three of them are born in February. We tried to meet up to celebrate them. This year we decided to go to a restaurant that was located in Ngor island. Ngor island is a beautiful island 5 minutes away from the city by boat.
