 Hello my People! Remember when I told you about all my road trips this Summer ? I mentionned that I visited Tambacounda but also Pink Lake and Somone. Therefore, today I will tell you about the day we had at the Pink Lake. Le Lac Rose or pink lake is a lake located at around 30 km from Dakar. The lake is unusually pink, which makes it a tourist spot in Senegal. It also has become one of the nation's biggest tourist traps with people offering boat rides, quad rides and other activites.  Salut a tous ! Hello there!  I finally went to the former Court house to see another biennale exhibition. I dragged the boys along the way. For Dak'Art 2022, the courthouse has been transformed into a huge art gallery, colorful and green. It was a very quiet and charming place. I just wish that our gouvernement finally do something about it and turn the entire place into a family friendly open space.  Salut tout le monde!   Je suis finalement allée à l'ancien palais de justice pour voir une autre exposition de la biennale. J'y suis allée avec les garçons. Pour Dak'Art 2022, le palais de justice a ét é transformé en une immense galerie d'art, colorée et verte. C'est un endroit très calme et charmant.  So I did something I have been dreaming of doing for quite some time: I booked a room in a hotel in the city. The plan was to get away somewhere nicer in the country such as our coast or Sine Saloum. But such trip involves a car. And since I do not have any, I gave up on that idea. And I am not willing to get on a bus with other people for long hours during this pandemic. I also had the opportunity to book a trip via agencies but they were either out of my budget or never at the right time for me. So after searching for weeks, I just booked a room at the Savana Hotel in the city. Savana hotel is a very old hotel in Dakar probably older than me. I used it last year to celebrate my youngest's birthday with the entire family. This time I booked a room for one night because I found a good deal on the internet.
