That Striped Blouse!

Hi y’all!   During the final months of 2021, I went on a shopping spree. It was in the span of three weeks. It did not help that the clothing store I mostly buy from was on sale. I bought so many things, things that I did not probably need but definitely wanted. To make space for the new stuff, I had to let go of the old stuff. I cleaned my closet, getting rid of all the things that no longer fit my body or my lifestyle. The never worn or slightly worn clothes were sold to colleagues. I donated the used clothes.    Au cours des derniers mois de 2021, j'ai fait beaucoup de shopping. C'était en l'espace de trois semaines.  Hello! I am back again with another easy DIY for y'all. I love me a good camo jacket. I have not had the chance to get myself one. But I did get to bedazzled a hand me down  olive green jacket . If by now you do not know what is Eid, let me explain that it is a Muslim celebration that ends the long month of Ramadan during which we are fasting, praying more and trying to get closer to God.Eid is a celebration. Muslims are supposed to wear new and beautiful clothes, head to the Mosque for prayer, and then go celebrate with family and friends. In Senegal, we usually celebrate by sharing food, eating a feast (it will be the 1st time in an entire month that we get to have lunch so we indulge). After the feasting is done, we again change in fancier clothes, and go greet neighbors and/ relatives. It is also an occasion to show our clothes to our friends. Back when I was younger, it was a pleasure to go out in the streets, and check everyone out while also showing off my outfit. We would also hire a professional photographer at home to take family pcitures. Nowadays, all the showing off is done via social media as most of us have a camera phone (with tr...
